Bonga Boys and Girls in Namuton Continue Weekly Facilitation Sessions
July 2026 · Peace Village Team · Education

The Bonga Boys and Girls in Namuton continue to benefit from weekly facilitation sessions led by Juma, where they learn problem-solving, life skills, and other practical skills that will help them make positive decisions and address challenges in their communities as they grow.
Bonga is a programme by Stromme Foundation South Sudan and an adolescent empowerment initiative designed to uplift vulnerable out-of-school youth, particularly girls, by providing life skills, literacy, and vocational training. Its core purpose is to break the cycle of poverty and empower adolescents to become economically independent and responsible members of society.
Kuron Peace Village, in partnership with Stromme Foundation, has established two Bonga groups in the community — a Boys Centre and a Girls Centre. These groups meet weekly with trained animators, creating a safe and supportive environment where young people gain knowledge, build confidence, and develop skills for a brighter future.
This project is proudly funded by Stromme Foundation.
