St. Thomas Secondary School Celebrates South Sudan Independence Day with Pride and Unity
July 9, 2026 · Peace Village Team · Education

Our boys and girls from St. Thomas Secondary School proudly celebrated South Sudan’s Independence Day, demonstrating patriotism, unity, and love for our nation. Dressed in traditional attire and holding the national flag high, they honoured the sacrifices of our heroes and heroines who fought for freedom.
The celebration was filled with joy, colour, and a deep sense of national pride as students expressed their gratitude for the gift of freedom and their hope for a peaceful and prosperous future.
It was a beautiful reminder that the young generation carries the responsibility of safeguarding peace, unity, and the values that will help build a brighter South Sudan.
May the spirit of independence continue to inspire our learners as they grow into responsible citizens who serve their families, communities, and the nation with commitment and love.
