Every year on 5 October, the world marks World Teachers’ Day. This year, our partner Strømme Foundation South Sudan shared a short video to say thank you to the teachers of Kuron and South Sudan.

Strømme Foundation South Sudan stands with teachers and communities to help every child in South Sudan learn. Education specialist Grace Lemi and other speakers talk about trained teachers and why education needs all of us, and they close with a call to invest in education and empower teachers.

At Holy Trinity Peace Village Kuron, teachers are at the heart of what we do. Over 400 children now have access to quality education at St. Thomas Primary and Secondary School and St John Paul Nursery, many from different ethnic groups, learning side by side.

Thank you to every teacher in Kuron and across South Sudan. #StrommeFoundation and #WorldTeachersDay.
